Introducting Artist Lisa Kaus

We are excited to share the work of one of our new favorite artists.  Mixed media art has become so popular and Lisa Kaus is yet another great creative force in that realm of art.  Check out some of her pieces that we are currently featuring in the store.

Lisa Kaus is a self-confessed paperaholic who incorporates a variety of mediums into each piece she creates to put a spontaneous element in all her work. With a special fondness for time worn features, she fosters an interaction between vintage found objects and contemporary paintings to give her work a unique, authentic look. Lisa wants to spark happy feelings in the people who view her art, hoping they will feel the joy and creativity that goes into each of her pieces.

A little about Stephen and Dogs Rock...
Dogs Rock was influenced by Stephen Fowler's Wrigley Field neighborhood, where man's best friend seemed to be part of everyone's family.  He hopes his work reminds you of a favorite pet or adds a funky lightheartedness to yoru life. 

Stephen likes rustic and vintage styles and is continuously refinidng and adding complexity to his approach.  He characterized his work as simple yet eclectic, bold and graphic.  Because of the support of Chicagoans, he was able to turn sellings works at the famer's market into a full time gig.
